NPF Benevolent Foundation

Picture
Incorporated under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, the NPFBF was launched in 2020 to assist the families of fallen on-duty, off-duty and serving NPF Members, and received charitable status in March 2021.

They do this by:
  • Providing immediate financial and other supports to the family following the death of a serving Member.
  • Providing post-secondary financial funding for students.
  • Managing public and Member contributions to support fallen NPF Member families.

The NPFBF will provide an assistance payment to the next-of-kin of an active National Police Federation (NPF) Member upon their death, either on or off duty. This one-time payment is to assist the family of the fallen Member with immediate and unforeseen expenses that arise in the aftermath of a Member’s death. (i.e. additional funeral expenses not covered by the RCMP and expenses related to family travel to and from the funeral).
